Speaker at the first ever TEDxRISD conferece: Unravel: Ideas worth disentangling.
I love the iterative design process and thrive working within product innovation. While I’m compelled by seamless UX, beautifully designed UIs, and sleek CMF finishes...I’m losing sleep thinking about where our screens and devices go when we discard them. Do they wash into ecosystems? Do they leech into our bodies?
My personal design practice looks into undoing e-waste, by imagining utopias of biological symbiosis between us and the technology that we interact with every single second.
My solution? Living Machines: in my terms, features parts or entire machines that are natural or biological. Designing in this way means less parts of our technology turns into polluting e-waste.
